Two-Day Family: A Village Childhood by the Wall
A courtyard gem hunt with a give-back tradition, a sandy play pit, goldfish stream, and the one feature on the wall kids talk about for months — the forest toboggan.
Day 1
- 15:00
The courtyard gem hunt & tradition
7 colours · 1 ceramic pot per child
Smooth river stones hand-painted with little fish emblems are hidden throughout the courtyards. Find all seven colors to receive an unglazed ceramic pot to paint. If your child wishes to take a stone home, they paint a replacement pebble with their initials and tuck it back into the secret spot for the next child to discover.
Afternoon courtyard playtime
Kids love the white sand pit, catching tiny fish in the gentle stream, roasting marshmallows over the outdoor fire basket, and picking fresh seasonal greens in the garden patch borrowed from the village.
Day 2
- 09:00
Chairlift up, forest toboggan down
under 120 cm free
Children under 1.2 m enter Mutianyu free of charge, including the scenic shuttle. Ride the open chairlift up, take a relaxed stroll along the wide stone walkway between Towers 6 and 8, and zoom down through the forest on the alpine slide — the undisputed highlight for kids.
Infant cribs & room advice
Baby cribs are available free of charge for infants under one year old (please bring your own baby bedding). Note: Block C duplex loft suites feature a tight spiral iron stair, so our single-level ground-floor courtyard rooms are much safer and more convenient for toddlers.
